Invitation to an online Seminar on Children’s Theology

“‘Upps, I’m forgetting what God looks like’ said a child nearing three” – Exploring children’s theological insights, spiritual experiences and religious ideas

with Rev. Dr. Sharon Stalkfleet of the Southeast Iowa Synod of the Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)

You are invited to explore how Jesus is portrayed in the Gospels as saying, "you must become like a child to enter the kingdom of heaven" — and to sit with questions such as: at what age do children develop a sense of God? Is faith formation important for children, or should we let them make up their own minds when they are older? Come, see, and move deeper into an understanding of children as the Gospels present them through Jesus' eyes.

Introduction and grounding information will be provided to spark conversation about the gifts of children in our lives and movement towards communities that are increasingly child friendly.

The online seminar is jointly organised by the German-speaking Lutheran Synod of Great Britain and the Lutheran Church in Ireland.
